Buy the level of ownership you need. Routine task capacity and high-context executive or operational support should not be compared as if they are the same service.
There is no single market price
Remote business support can be sold hourly, in bundles, on a monthly retainer, through an agency or as a permanent employed role. Those models solve different problems, so headline rates are not directly comparable.
The main pricing models
Pay-as-you-go
Useful for occasional contained work and founders testing delegation for the first time.
Bundles of hours
Useful when you have recurring needs but still want flexibility and a clear cap on spend.
Ongoing executive or operational partnership
Useful when continuity, context and recurring ownership matter more than simply purchasing time.
Permanent hire
Useful when there is genuinely sustained dedicated work and the business is ready for a role inside the organisation.
How Levarelle is structured
Levarelle's current Flexible Support begins at £32 per hour, with lower effective hourly rates on larger bundles. Ongoing support starts from the pricing shown on the main Levarelle pricing section.
The distinction is intentional: Flexible Support is primarily for contained work and extra capacity. Ongoing Partnerships are for recurring responsibilities where continuity and ownership create more value.
What changes the price?
- Experience and seniority.
- How much judgement the work requires.
- Whether the provider needs to understand your wider business context.
- Urgency and availability expectations.
- Whether the work is task-based or responsibility-led.
- Whether the same person works with you consistently.
How to compare two quotes properly
- What exactly will I no longer need to do?
- Will I still be the person setting every priority?
- Does the provider simply complete tasks, or keep agreed areas moving?
- How much briefing will be required each week?
- How are confidential information and access handled?
- What happens as the scope grows?
The cheapest support is poor value if you still have to manage every task. Premium support is poor value if you only need basic repeatable admin.
Compare the cost with a full-time hire carefully
A permanent employee is not only a salary figure. Recruitment, employer costs, equipment, onboarding, management and the commitment of creating a role all matter.
That does not make outsourced support automatically cheaper or better. It simply means the comparison should reflect the full model rather than dividing one fee by another.
The bottom line
Ask “what responsibility will this remove?” before asking “what is the hourly rate?” The right model is the one that matches the amount of ownership your business genuinely needs today.
